Secondly, you need to have a think about where you want your blog. There are loads of blogging platforms to choose from. WordPress is a very popular one, and one of the easiest ones to use There are more than 82 million active users of WordPress. Other options include Blogger and Tumblr which is half social network and half blog. Both are simple to use and also very good.
Next, you need to decide if you want to pay for it or get a free blog. While the free blogs are great, you won’t be able to have your own web address, and there are fewer options with the layout and features of the blog.
Once you have made your decisions, the next step is designing your blog. This is where it gets exciting. You can make your blog look exactly how you want it. You can install a free WordPress theme, or there are people out there who can help you. You might want to look at a wordpress design agency who will have the experience and knowledge to know what will look good and what works for other blogs.
Finally, once it looks the part you need to write some compelling content, Make sure you also have an ‘About’ page and a ‘Contact’ page, then create a plan of what you’ll be writing and when and keep to your schedule. Consistency is very important to gain readers and visitors so ideally you want to be writing a blog post at least once a week. You will also need to accompany your blog posts with free photos from places such as Unsplash, Pexels, and the Pixabay.
