Stefaan recently moved to Barcelona from Belgium where he spent more than a decade serving big corporate businesses, helping them analyze and streamline their teams, systems and leadership. He’s chosen to use his knowledge to help scaling CEOs reclaim their time so they can focus on growth instead of putting out fires all day long, because of this he opened his own company called TITANOLOGY. Stefaan’s quest is to help digital businesses working with remote teams to grow and scale without stress and overwhelm.
As part of the 100th episode special, Robin Waite welcomes entrepreneur and TITANOLOGY founder, Stefaan De Vreese. He joins Robin today to show listeners how they can grow their business (and become better at it!) through community building.
Community building has grown increasingly popular both offline and online especially during the pandemic. Entrepreneurs are now looking to make more valuable connections and don’t want to go on their entrepreneurial journey by themselves.
Virtual communities can become connected through various social media platforms such as Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram. These platforms are not only helpful for social engagement but also serve as a great support network for when entrepreneurs are looking to improve and expand their business.
According to Stefaan, one of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs can make is holding their clients at arm’s length when providing their services. Reduced chances of peer to peer interactions can limit a customers journey. If a business coach, for example, decides against group coaching sessions they have increased their chances of spreading themselves too thin or not being readily available as they can only provide so much of their time.
Group coaching programmes not only enable the business coach to engage and talk to multiple clients simultaneously, but they also create opportunities for peer to peer accountability. Many customers appreciate a community built within a business. More often than not, they can find like-minded customers similar to themselves, network and build valuable relationships with them.
When a customer invests in a business coach, a lot of the progress and responsibility is on the client. Having a community there to inspire, encourage and hold clients accountable promotes productivity and increases the business coaches chances of success. This then creates a web of exposure for companies through the likes of client referrals and positive reviews.
Ideally, the best platform to create a community is Facebook. In particular, Facebook groups. Facebook Groups is a great platform for allowing clients to view exclusive content and have stuff in their feed specifically catered towards their niche, without interfering with others. They serve as great lead generators and marketing funnels and can easily be monetised if certain groups require a signup fee to join.
Interactive tools on Facebook Groups such as the ‘Host a Q&A’ option, for example, provide amazing opportunities for entrepreneurs to garner integral feedback from clients. With there being no limit to how many people there are in a Facebook Group, entrepreneurs can find themselves communicating with multiple people at once and vice versa.
Stefaan utilises Facebook Groups for his company TITANOLOGY. TITANOLOGY is an online community and coaching business that helps entrepreneurs implement the right foundation to scale their business beyond expectations. Through the community he has created, Stefaan encourages others to do the same and has consequently helped entrepreneurs half their workload, grow their team and ultimately their business. Stefaan owes his success to his experience in building strong foundations within companies and learning to work from there.
